Chiropractic Celebrity Patients

Tiger Woods:

“Being a chiropractic patient has really helped me a lot. When I was in a growth spurt, my back became very sore and I was weak. My chiropractor really helped me. Not only did he adjust my spine, he also gave me strengthening exercises to do. If you are tall and gangly like I am, or play sports, I would recommend chiropractic.

Lifting weights and seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis has made me a better golfer. I’ve been going to chiropractors for as long as I can remember. It’s as important to my game as practicing my swing.” – Tiger Woods

(Little Known Fact: Tiger is such a chiropractic supporter that he rode on-board the Chiropractic float in the Rose Bowl Parade, waving to the crowds, to celebrate Chiropractics’ centennial anniversary. )

Lance Armstrong

” The Chiropractor is the most important person on the team staff.”

” The guy who put us all back together was our chiropractor.” – Lance Armstrong

(Little Known Fact: Lance values Chiropractic so much that he pays his Chiropractor to travel along with him to every race.)

Johnny Damon:

“Without chiropractic, I wouldn’t be able to play consistently throughout the season.” – Johnny Damon

Emmitt Smith

All time rushing leader, Emmitt Smith, has credited his chiropractor as his ” key to maintaining fitness” with weekly adjustments during his playing days. In fact his support for chiropractic has lasted well after his football career ended, as he appeared on (and won) the Dancing with the Stars competition in 2007. He allowed ABC cameras to film and broadcast while he was being adjusted by his Chiropractor, behind the scenes for what he described as ” minor repairs”.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

” There is really no better profession than chiropractic. I depend on chiropractic and so does my whole family….He adjusts my wife, my kids, me, everybody gets an adjustment. And we always feel great when Franco leaves. You chiropractic doctors are really miracle workers.”

Dan O’Brien

” If not for Chiropractic, I would not have won the gold medal. It is essential to me in my training routine. You obviously can’t compete at your fullest if you’re not in alignment. Every track and field athlete that I have ever met has seen a chiropractor at one time or another.” (1996 Olympic Gold Medalist – Decathlon)

Evander Holyfield

” I have to have an adjustment before I go into the ring…I believe in chiropractic. The majority of boxers go to get that extra edge.”

Wade Boggs

” Last year I found my chiropractor and have been seeing him ever since. I have been pain free and feeling terrific. I swear by it. Now, it is just maintenance and keeping in line so the nerves don’t touch.”

Deepak Chopra

“Chiropractors are the only [health care practitioners] who totally understand what we are talking about….Dr. Palmer was ahead of his time [and] chiropractors have been ahead of the field and have a great background for understanding these concepts as a whole. Into the next decade they should be taking the lead.”

Jonathon Paley, M.D. – Orthopedic Surgeon

“… I would suggest that the AMA concentrate on more germane and fundamental issues such as its own declining enrollment. Instead, the AMA has chosen to spend its time and money proposing a resolution to limit chiropractic doctors (actually to make it a felony) from calling themselves physicians. For the record, I am an orthopedic surgeon (yes a physician) who, after 16 years of private practice, has noted the following:

  1. Chiropractic physicians are more in tune to their patients’ needs than most MD’s or DO’s.
  2. I have rarely, if ever, heard criticisms from a patient about a chiropractic physician. I cannot say the same about by MD or DO colleagues.
  3. The recent trend by MD’s/DO’s espousing “wellness” as the key to all our social and medical ills has been the cornerstone of chiropractic physician care for decades.
  4. Finally, the diagnostic workup on patients referred from chiropractic offices is often more complete or just as complete compared to those of MD’s or DO’s.

It should be underscored that all physicians, irrespective of the letters after their names, have much to glean from each other. The pomposity espoused by the AMA in resolution 232 is from a time gone by and has no place in the philosophy of modern-day medicine. To many observers, chiropractic medicine and its physicians are ahead of the medical curve in many respects. This field promotes a life of wellness now just being recognized as possibly the key to containing the ever-soaring cost of medicine. This is something that chiropractic physicians have recognized for decades. These physicians should be applauded, not sanctioned.” – Letter to the editor, Dynamic Chiropractic , October, 2008.

Montel Williams

“It’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me. After suffering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, I experienced almost instantaneous relief from pain with my first Chiropractic adjustment. There’s not a person who knows me who will not confirm this. I am walking differently, my pain is less, I’ve already regained strength in my left leg. For the first time in 5 years I can stand up straight without pain.”

“Thank God I have a great Chiropractor. I wish I’d never introduced him to Madonna and Janet (Jackson) and Tina (Turner). Now I have to share him.”
